What is Crestor ?
Crestor is a medicine for treating high cholesterol.
It is from a class of medicines called statins, which act to lower your cholesterol. Most of the cholesterol in our blood is made within our bodies by the liver. Crestor acts to block an enzyme in the liver which is involved in the production of cholesterol.
By limiting cholesterol production, Crestor lowers the total amount of cholesterol that ends up in the bloodstream, but also specifically acts to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and raise HDL (good) cholesterol.
